Los Famitsu Dengeki Game Awards 2023 se celebraron el 17 de marzo y, si bien los premios se repartieron entre una gran cantidad de juegos, un juego se robó el espectáculo por completo y se llevó a casa cinco de los 17 premios: Final Fantasy XVI.
Los premios Famitsu Degeki Game Awards son votados por los lectores y administrados por Famitsu y Game Dengeki. Si bien el nuevo Final Fantasy no obtuvo tanto hardware en otros programas como The Game Awards , claramente se ganó algo de amor en Japón. Se llevó a casa premios por Mejores Gráficos, Mejor Música, Mejor Actor de Voz y Personaje para Clive y Mejor RPG.
Mientras tanto, Final Fantasy XIV se llevó a casa la categoría de Mejor Juego Online, mientras que The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom se llevó el primer premio de GOTY.
